ON-THE-JOB TRAINING
After LDSS ' Officers have completed initial training, on-the-job training begins. During on-the-job training, Security Officers are familiarized with the duties and responsibilities of the posts that they staff. General and emergency responsibilities are explained and all post practices and procedures are taught to all Security Officers working the post. Additionally, during the on-the-job training time, Security Officers are expected to read and become familiar with the post's "Security Post Instructions" which have been custom prepared for that post.
While training on-the-job, Security Officers are closely supervised by other Security Officers experienced at the specific assignment and by experienced Security Supervisors. ONLY after an experienced Supervisor feels a Security Officer is adequately prepared to perform their duties will the Officer be given post responsibilities.
ON-GOING TRAINING
Once Security Officers are trained and competent at their post assignment, refresher training and incentive training is conducted as needed by Site Supervisors, Field Officers and Account Managers. This training is designed specifically for each site and is comprised of industry-specific issues relating to the client's needs as well as current security topics. Supervisory and specialty training are conducted for Project Managers, Site Supervisors and clients by the Quality Assurance Manager on a quarterly basis.
Field Supervisors, familiar with each site, are "ON DUTY" 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. Their primary duty is to provide supervision and support to the field personnel working client's sites. This is accomplished through random and unannounced inspections, training, counsel and motivation or discipline as necessary to ensure all personnel are competent in their duties and in proper uniform at all times. Field Supervisors also provide assistance and emergency needs as requested at Client locations and can assume duties when necessary to ensure no interruption of service from unexpected absence of Personnel.
